Clown

Clowns live between thought and action, panic and possibilities, tension and the fact that anything can happen. There is no fourth wall for a clown, playing in the present is the ultimate challenge.
Students will build a sense of abandon through various games and ensemble exercises. They will explore physical comedy, movement, improvisation, character clown work and comic routine construction. They will work towards developing a vulnerability and availability to play from a personal place for the audience.
Recommended age: 15 and up.
